Arissa turned 2!

Hi there.
Arissa turned 2 yo last 5th Feb 2013. Oohh noo, my baby is no longer my “baby”,  she’s soon a big sister. Time flies – super-duper fast. Sometimes I felt like I need to find time to breathe so that I will be able to catch up with everything. She has grown so fast and talks a lot. She seems to understand more nowadays and we just love to spend time with her and talked to her, of course.
Let’s recap on what she can do at her 24 m-o!
1)        She ate most of the food (of course not the pedas ones). She’s likes everything that comes with soup
2)        Has shown her interest in beautifying herself. Loves to wear my lipstick and my moisturizer and stayed in front of the mirror and says “antik tak?” :)
3)        Pronounce chocolate as “kong ket”. Omg, where did she learned this?
4)        Good in psyco-ing her mama and ayah. We, sometimes terjebak jugak.
5)        She’s now 11.5kg.
6)        Thanked to Allah that sometimes we can rely on her. She’s willingly helps me with the house chores - tolong mama kemas rumah, angkat itu-ini, letak baju dalam bakul, kutip sampah and buang dalam tong sampah etc.
7)        She’s sometimes called me ayah. (erkkss!)
8)        She'll take off her diaper herself whenever I says “Jom mandi”
9)        Refuse to be fed. Nak suap sendiri.  So three of us would have our dinner together at the table.
10)     Won’t let ayah get closer to me during waktu tido coz she got jealous. Hahaha..
11)     Oh ya, She’s sooo (see the extra o?) manja nowdays, guess she knows that her adik is coming soon
12)     Last but not least, she’s is getting out of control :) If she can't have something, she will go into a screaming fit until she gets it. The best part is, we just found out that for the past one week, she started to merajuk (she have must learned this from someone else). Aiyoo…

… and the list never ends!
Despite all of her attitudes, for us - accepting the challenges of these moments is the first step toward maintaining our sanity – patience.
So our next target would be:
1)        She would be able to say sorry whenever she makes mistakes or whenever she makes us angry (and to understand the meaning of the word, of course!)
2)        To introduce her to the potty training.

Chow!

A new year is coming fast.

Ok, at last I’m in the mood of writing (ermm… after nearly 2 years?? - unpredictable). Luckily I still can remember the log in ID and the password. Hahaha…
Yes it is almost 2013. When we’re talking about New Year (or past year!), should we be talking about resolutions as well? For some people, they are not making any resolutions because they are not sure of what they are going to be doing, or they were thinking at their age, I don't need to make new resolutions as I've already made enough so all I have to do is go back and review the ones I didn't keep, or probably for certain people they ought to think that they don’t have to make any resolutions because, at their age, they can't remember what were the prescribes resolutions. Oooh this is me. I can’t remember most of mine (that’s why I need to jot down here, so that by 2014, I can still recall mine. fuhh) …or New Year Resolution – who cares??

So, what have I achieved so far? What failed me? and what am I hoping for next year? Let’s make this simple.

Achieved:

1) To always be grateful and thankful for what I have. Less complained. Yess, this is one of my resolutions for 2012. Weird? It is wise to be reminded that I don’t get what I want. There have been times in my life when I have been reminded of how fortunate I am. Calls that have served as a reminder to be thankful for all that I have and all that I am able to provide for my family (and for my organisation). It reminds me that struggle can be found right in your own back yard. Ok, let’s be honest. I used to complain on everything for the first 3 years here in SME Corp. (yess, everything! Stuffs like why certain things have to happen to us? or maybe why things have to happen to other people?) But later in 2010, I have no idea how I became somebody that take everything as rezeki or dugaan dari Allah SWT (after you put enough effort for it, of course!). And what’s surprise me is that, once you redha, eventually, everything falls into place. Everything happens for a reason. Good or bad. Big or small. I have faith in God, that God is there for us every step of the way and is leading us on a path that will help us grow. Alhamdulillah for what I am today in this organization. Syukur for the rezeki that I received. I’m happy for what I am, what I did for this organisation (even though I know there’s a lot more I could do). And…I learned to always be grateful for the love that i receive from my family, my friends, and my colleagues. Thank them in some way.

2) Was money a big source of stress in your life last year? Haha… (dengan penuh rasa bangga akan diri sendiri), i managed to terminate one of my credit card account. To pay off debts. Fuhh. Actually my resolution was to terminate all my credit cards. But, it’s Ok. One by one I guess. Slow and steady. Let’s target to do it by mid-year 2013. Easier said than done, but I will try!

3) New baby is on the way. Both Khasif and I have planned to welcome the next baby in 2013. Alhamdulillah, after all the hard work (erkk?), Insha’Allah, baby boy will be delivered in March 2013. Yeah!

4) In 2012, the biggest step that I made was bought a property. Yet to own it as the project is ongoing. Insha’Allah, by first quarter 2015, we will be able to moves out to a better place. Can’t wait. 2015 please comes fast. I’m soo over excited.

Failed (in returns it should be included in 2013's resolutions):

1) Fit in fitness. Exercise more. To get back in shape. Ok, this is hard. I’ve been attached to this pre natal - post natal issue since 2009.

Oct 2009 – Feb 2010: Faris
May 2010 – Feb 2011: Arissa
June 2012 – March 2013: 3rd baby.
Let’s just hoping that I can overcome this issue in 2013 :) You better do it, fyza!

2) Save Money. I failed to set aside a certain percent of my paycheck each month consistently.

3) Holiday. To spend more time with family. Most of my annual leaves were reserved to taking care of my sick baby or the baby sitter fall sick / need time off… and the best part is I don’t take MCs.

4) Read More Books, Watch more TV. Ok this is worst. I don’t read, sometimes I don’t even watch the TV. I was so-o-o extremely tired every time I reached home (with all the work loads, traffic jam…don’t judge me, I’m not complaining ok).

So, what will be your resolutions for the year of 2013? Whatever it is, keep me in your prayers please. Life is tougher and rougher each day. Hoping 2013 will be better than 2012. Amin!

cheers!

Wishes...

If a genie grants you three wishes, what would you wish for?

- Enough money to live comfortably for the rest of my life
- Good health with no life-threatening illnesses and happiness for myself, my family and friends.

And, ermm…

- I would wish for more wishes! :))

World Peace!

The selfish husband!

Some people are selfish in almost every aspects of their life. They must have everything in their ways in no uncertain terms. This sounds like the behavior of a spoiled child and how do we live with selfish and uncaring husband? The rules of marriage required both are treated equally. All too often the husband thinks only of himself and his needs. This type of behaviour has to be confronted without anger. So all wifes, standup for yourself and remain calm. All husbands needs to know that a marriage is a partnership and not a place for the husband to think about himself. Although it is impossible to get along with a selfish husband who must have it his way, it is possible to avoid divorce!

Welcome to the most challenging world, Arissa!

Hello February 2011.

Whenever February arrives, we usually thinking of love, chocolates wrapped in red foil, roses and heart. And why is it roses or these chocolates are the popular demand only in February? Maybe there are few trivia lies behind it. But anyway, i have my own stories of February, at least for this year ('',). Well after 9+ months of waiting, Alhamdulillah and Praised to God, the presence of Arissa on the 5th February 2011 into ur marriage have brighten, lighten and cherish our life. We've been blessed. It's worth the pain and waiting. So here's the short recaps of the waiting :)

4th February 2011
10.30am: Tawaf Jusco Equine
12.30pm: Home sweet home. Had a beauty sleep till late evening. And MIL cooked for us that day.
10.30pm: Contraction started at every 10 minutes. Decided to wait as the next follow up checkup with Dr Nazri is the next morning.

5th February 2011
9.30am: Headed to KPJ Selangor
10.30am: Undergo the Cardiotogography test (CTG). CTG is the test of recording the fetal heartbeat and the uterine contractions during pregnancy. The results showed that the heartbeat is non active with minimal movement. Contractions started at every 7 minutes.
11.00am: Meet Dr Nazri
11.30am: Admitted
1.10pm: Induced
2.00pm: Undergo the next CTG test. Still, the results showed the same. Contraction started at every 5 minutes.
5.30pm: Went for water breaking process. Found out that the amniotic fluid was brownish-yellow. This is the sign of baby's distress. Thus i need to go for the delivery process immediately. Khasif looked so and sooo anxious. Im speechless. So Mama just says Yes for ceaser.
6.00pm: Prepared for the next procedures. PILs arrived.
7.10pm: Went for OT
7.23pm: Safely delivered Arissa. Thanked God!
8.30pm: I was sent back to my room :)

Alhamdulillah. How Great Allah is! What a wonderful and blessed life we have now. Praised to God for the wonderful moment!

Despite of having a great February, it's been a year since Mohd Faris B Khasif left us. Al fatihah. May Allah blessing will always be with him.

So all the best to my besties who are currently counting the months + days (You know who you are). Take the best care of ur self and of course, the baby!

Welcome 2011!

A month feels like a week. That’s how fast my life is now. Not complaining but thanking God for all the blessing in life. Praise to God. Hope it's not too late to say farewell to 2010 to all. Hey, people are celebrating Eidul Fitr for month. So I guess at this particulate moment, it’s not wrong to wish everyone happy New Year. Welcome 2011!

So what are my resolutions for 2011? Tradition dictates that every 365 days, you should try to kick bad habits and start your life anew. When I was younger, I did these whole lists of New Year resolutions (of which I can’t even remember of what is it by the end of December), and half of which I broke within the first month or even the first week of New Year. Learning from experience, my New Year resolutions list gets shorter and shorter as the years go by.

So for 2011, my lists would be:

- To save more and spend less. To pay off debt. Easier said than done, but I will try!
- To be more focused, more efficient and productive in the office. It’s not that I’m not being “that” for 2010, but I’m hoping I can do it better. Though I might have looked like I achieved a bit of something for 2010, a lot of time it was quite a last minute work. I need to be more motivated. And YES, I’m also hoping to be paid with higher salary.
- I desire to be a better Muslim and slayer to Allah and I want to be able to read the Quran regularly and not just do the seasonal Ramadan reading. I wish that I could advance my Islamic knowledge where I would be implementing what I have learned.
- To be a great partner, friend, mummy (Insha’Allah), daughter and colleague to loved ones. I’m hoping that I could spend lots of quality time with them. For the past years, there were so many people in my lives that I would want to reach out or spend time with. I love all those people out there but it just that I can’t find the right time to spend with. But what is love if it’s not shown in actions right? So hopefully, I’ll be able to show it in more practical ways this year!
- Last but not least, to put down weight. I have gained so many kilos so far in my pregnancy which I'm not really sure how. My aim is to lose back those kilos during my confinement. Need to work real hard for this.

So let’s have a great start for January 2011 and hope for a better love in February 2011 (incase I have no time to update this blog in February)

Happy Independence Day to all Malaysians!!

Happy Independence Day!

I would like to wish all Malaysians a Happy 53rd Independence Day.
Born and bred as a Malaysian for the past 26 years and yet I am still living in Malaysia. I survive! Not necessarily those who choose to stay back in Malaysia would strive to earn a living and lack behind to those who graduated and worked in the developed countries.
Way back when I was in primary or secondary, Independence Day was celebrated with so much joy and happiness: late sleep just because of the fireworks and wake up early for the National Parade.

After school, Independence Day was celebrated much less. But that’s doesn’t means the enthusiasm gone. Being patriotic doesn’t ONLY mean that you’re willing to sacrifice for the country. Your contribution to the economic development and Live happily and peacefully within races, it call patriotic too.

As the country is getting older, I really hope whoever rule the country will give their best effort on keeping this country peaceful and harmony. Lets different races blend in together without barriers and lets religious activities carries out without fear. War will not get us anywhere. There are much more to do with love than hate. Sometimes, a majority of us tend to think that the grass is greener on the other side. “Hujan emas di negeri orang, hujan batu di negeri sendiri, lebih baik hujan batu di negeri sendiri”. It’s a Malay proverb, meaning that although there are many good things outside our own country, and less in the place where we live, it is still best to live in our own place. It might be similar to “There is no place like home”.

Travelling

Mama & Papa were here since last Tuesday. Horray. We’ll probably go to Genting this Saturday to celebrate Arman burfday. (Khasif bought Arman a PS2 as a burfday present but did not buy anything for my burfday!!!). Boy might be going as well. Hopefully! Not sure whether Khasif is going together or not as he should be attending Family day in LLM. [Talking of which, I remembered that Dato’ have requested to have the “back to basic” family day. (the ladies needs to wear the kain batik while all men need to wear kain pelekat) okey, I don’t think I’ll be attending our family day!].

The other saturday we’ll probably going back to kluang for a short stay as we need to rush back to kl on Sunday morning as I need to fly for Sarawak. (ohh, I cant wait as this is my 1st trip to Sarawak). Next Tuesday I’ll travel to Kuantan Pahang and middle of July I need to attend 3 days meeting in Langkawi. (oh, heaven!). oh yes, Khasif will be off for 3 days for Kota Baru end of July. Ermm seems like we are hardly meet in July. But anyways, traveling means experiencing right? Travel is all about to face the unknown and appreciate the familiar. I know it would be a tiring but just find joy in that little moment. Live in the present!

Oohh btw, Im so insists of air soya with jelly kuning yang dulu ada jual kat jln Maxwell, Ipoh and buah jambu yang hanya ada jual kat cameron Highlands tuh. Where can I get that in kl? Anyone?

goodbye may and welcome June

We have already bid farewell to May and welcomed the month of June. What does the month of May means to you, you and you? Okey, all of you. Me? Well, I can only think of our 1st Wedding Anniversary. Don’t have time to write about this earlier as I was buzy as bee churning data, checking the paper and slides for our 1q 2010 survey on SMEs. Fuhh…

So we celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary with simple dinner... before my boss spoiled my mood. (She called me at 10pm and asked me to provide her few figures and she’ll wait for my sms)… oohh and I have to rush back to our sarang burung as soon as possible. Wtf? Okey, okey luckily I have a so called “husband yang memahami” yeah! I’m blessed and thankful that you are mine!

Happy 1st Wedding Anniversary to you sayang!
Im faithfully blessed n thankful for having a wonderful “you”.
Even its 1st anniversary and for some people it’s just a single number of year, but for us, we are so grateful that we managed to go thru the hitch n glitch thru out the year. I believe whatever God destined to me in my life are for reasons and it’s for my happiness and my future. Sayang, thank you for all the kindness and compassion towards me. I love u with all my heart. muaxx blush blush

Goodbye May, and thank you for the moment. Appreciate it!

Okey, that was May. How about June? Realized it or not, we are now at the middle of the year 2010. We’re halfway through the year. Depend on how we look at it. “Half empty or half-full cup ... filled with water?”
I have yet to reach targets.
- looking forward to have more savings. Hope that one day I’ll wake up with millions cash in my bank account.
- working real hard in the office (no fb-ing, no blogging etc)
- taking quick break from the city (Redang, Perhentian or Tioman perhaps?)
- etc
- etc
- etc
- etc
- etc

At the end of the day I realize that, Oh well - I am human after all :)

Ohh ya, I’ll be celebrating engagements and weddings of good old friends in June. Love it!!

Wifey for hubby!

I’m currently in the office. Bored even though i got lots and lots of task to be done by today. Got so many words in my mind but I had no idea how to begin. I am not a good storyteller. I’m just a storyteller who is just starting out.

Khasif is currently preparing himself (physically and mentally) to open a burger stall. And why burgers stall? Probably because of this business operating at night, the locations of most burger stalls are very convenient (burger stalls exist in popular hotspots, universities, housing areas, near 7E and many other populated areas) and this business are independently run by young home-based entrepreneurs. Leveraging on the consistent demand for these burgers, khasif is among those youngsters who want to have their own burger business. Oohh, not to forget, it’s also because of burger is a ‘must-eat’ snack at night. [Only for those yang berfikir 2-3 kali untuk spent money on luxury food everyday – like me when I was in UKM :) ]

So, a wife's role is very significant. I can be a tremendous help to my husband. I am a companion, supporter and admirer. (Ceewah! Walaupun hakikatnyer I always make jokes of it). A healthy relationship is when a wife gives her husband 100% support. She is his cheerleader, she brings out the best in him, she believes in him, she encourages him, and she is quick to praise him and to give him the moral and emotional support he needs. Wives, you have the power to build and support your husband!!
“An excellent wife is the crown of her husband”
(fuhh, ayat-ayat perasan keluar dari jiwa…)
Chaiyo’ Chaiyo’! Okey, enough of it cz it don’t even started yet… snap back to reality!

Oh ya, Praise to GOD for His blessing, Praise to GOD who made it possible for me during the interview. Praise to GOD for the opportunity to achieve excellence. Praise and thank God for blessing me every day!

31st May coming! Omg, I can't believe it has been nearly a year already! I wish to have many happy returns to come. Gosh, time flies without realizing we will reach our 1st Anniversary. We stuck together, through ups and downs and you were always with me when we went around, enjoying the wind together. But I just want to let you know how much I appreciate you no matter what.

XOXO

Kluang-day!

Im currently in Kluang. Since Yesterday. Will be going for Mersing in any minutes. For what? No idea. Probably just for jalan-jalan programme with PIL. Talking of which, PIL requested to us and express how they wish to spent few nights in Cameron. En hubby, please take note yeah.. and to av and Fad, come and join us lahh, at least takderlah aku mati kutu nanti. :))

Last night we went for Iron Man 2. (It's actually our main agenda everytime we're here cz please be informed that nothing much to do in kluang at night!). to be axact, i went for Robert Downey Jr. :))) i likeee... this movie has some pretty impressive gadget. very cool. and stark's laboratory such as "to die for see through monitor screen" is very very cool. There are lot more in the movie, it's just that i dont seem to know the name or the technology. Oh not to forget, the iron man briefcase.how on earth a massive robot suit could be fold and being kept in a small briefcase? Kalau spiderman or batman, i dont mind pun. after all yang disimpan just seluar kecik jerk... huhuhu. Anyway i didnt read any Iron man comic. (i dont even know the comic exist before, to be exact!). So if saya seperti orang jakun and all this stuff memang dah ada di dalam comic book, please show your mercy and bear with me okey. simply pardon my ignorance.

.:sleepless:.

People can survive longer without food than without sleep.
sleep is so important in keeping ourselves looking good, hence the phrase "beauty sleep".
ohh, i need to go to sleep now. need to hv a great one. a combo of sleep and dream. and become worry free. even it's for a while.

Time check: 12.30am. Obviously a no-no to a non quality stays up!

Mode: Down

Entry kali ini agak emosi.

Entry yang lahir dari jiwa dan rasa yang lahir dari hati.

Terlalu banyak yang terbuku.

Sedih, kecewa, marah silih berganti.

Kehidupan terlalu menekan.

Tangisan sentiasa menjadi peneman.

Aku yakin Allah Maha Mengetahui.

Aku yakin Allah Maha Pengampun.

Aku yakin Allah Menyayangi.

Sesungguhnya Allah melaksanakan segala urusan yang dikehendakinya.

Sesungguhnya Allah telah mengadakan ketentuan bagi tiap tiap sesuatu.

Engkaulah yang aku sembah!

Engkaulah tempat ku memohon pertolongan!

I love my husband

Ohyeaahh… I love my husband. Even though I have to woke up at 5.15 am every morning to iron his office’s clothes ;p STILL i love him; I’m in love with him and will always love him. (ceewahh!!) eventhough, mama suruh hantar baju ke dobi. Mak cakap “jangan serika baju hasif, biar die buat sendiri, jangan manjakan sangat" but for me, I would rather iron his clothes than cook. (Doesn’t mean that I can’t cook, just that I don’t have that valuable time to cook) at least by ironing, I know my “touch” would be with him from 7am till 7pm.

Tomorrow is our 4th anniversary.. so
Happy 4th anniversary, Sayang! It’s our 4th year being together. We’re soul mates. Eventhough we take completely opposite ways to come up with solutions to anything. He makes me laugh. He tells me that I'm beautiful, even when I don't feel so pretty. If I'm mad or sad, he always says something to make me smile or laugh. He freely and generously tells me that he loves me.

~Hati saya berbunga~
